HYOUJUN Type 2: Deluxe Kanto Style Bogu Set

Hyoujun is a fantastic option for Kendoka looking for an all-round Bogu set – providing fantastic durability and comfort for everyday practice while being light enough for travel and competition. While being one of the absolute best options for a first Bogu set, the Hyoujun is loved by both top level competitors and high ranking Sensei as well!

This fantastic Bogu set is reinforced with quick drying Orizashi fabric, and features durable synthetic leather in areas subject to the most wear and tear, such as the Herikawa and Ago.

The 8mm Futon stitching on the TYPE-2 allows for excellent comfort, owing to the thick and padded Futon, yet the tighter stitching on the Mendare allows for a nice shape to be formed, ensuring that you still look great whilst wearing it. The overall design is intentionally simplistic, based on traditional designs.

Utilizing a method originated by Zennihon Budogu – one of the top suppliers of Kendo equipment in Japan – This Bogu set features a longer stitch pitch than its traditional counterparts. This method allows air particles to easily enter the Futon, providing an optimal level of comfort and protection without sacrificing durability.
