Our 60pc bamboo Do-Dai, finished with authentic Urushi lacquer, brings a touch of luxury and craftsmanship to any Bogu set. While our website showcases a broad range of colors and designs, customization options are almost limitless when it comes to Bamboo Do-Dai!

California Budogu collaborates directly and indirectly with some of Japan’s most esteemed Do-Dai lacquering specialists, including Tachibana, Joubouji, and others. Each piece is meticulously hand-lacquered over several months, offering unique characteristics from each artisan. Our bamboo Do-Dai typically features an opening size between 35-45 cm. While you can specify a precise opening, please allow for slight variation (up to 1 cm). Custom sizes outside this range are also available upon request.
