This design depicts two horses galloping, full of energy and strength. The artwork also incorporates the traditional symbols of pine, bamboo, and plum (Shochikubai), with the pine from the ema hanging on a plum branch and bamboo in the foreground, creating a design celebrated in Japan as auspicious and full of good fortune.
