An Danno San is an actual artist and professional craftsman who has studied at Tokyo Zokei University - one of the leading Japanese institutes of art and design. This is the ultimate Zekken for those looking for small customizations with a huge impact! 

Using master quality #10000 Indigo Dyed Takefuji Cotton, the 'DANNO-YA' Zekken feature embossed synthetic leather lettering on a second layer of black ToRay suede - giving these amazing Zekken a beautiful 3D look. The stitching on the black portion of the lettering can be changed from black to a variety of colors at no extra charge!

We are sure that there are many Kendoka who have noticed Zekken with hard to read, ’squished’, or even illegible characters and fonts, especially with longer ‘Katakana’ names.
