Featuring a simple yet timeless 8mm Gunomezashi design, the Men, Kote, and Tare feature top quality Aizome deerskin on reinforcements such as the Herikawa and Ago. There are two versions of the set, so you can choose between a lightweight Orizashi or luxurious Konkawa (Deerskin) Futon.  The Orizashi version has the advantage of being flexible and quick-drying, making it suitable for those looking for a more lightweight Bogu set for everyday practice. The Konkawa version provides the best durability, helping the Bogu last throughout years of intense practice, as well as a luxurious look ideal to exhibit at promotion exams and special events.

Regardless of Futon type, each Futon is not only lightweight and protective – being thicker in the parts of the Men and Kote for protection against strikes – but also infused with antibacterial TASTEX-MGU for shock absorption and extra cleanliness. The Men features a unique IBB-SWV (Safety Wide View) Duralumin Mengane, increasing the range of sight to improve vision between the Monomi bars. Utilizing the best of both worlds, the Kote palms feature a unique half-smoked deerskin, giving these Kote the durability of smoked but comfort and flexibility of bleached deerskin. The Tare features deerskin not only on the Herikawa, but where the Obi connects to the Himo for increased durability. Finally, the top row of Kazari-Ito is lowered by approximately one centimeter, to reduce ware and tare over time from rubbing against the Do.
