Shipping Policy

California Budogu offers FREE¹ shipping throughout North America on all orders over $95.00 USD ($150.00 USD for Canada). Shipping charges will apply to orders below these thresholds. International handling fees may apply to orders shipped outside North America.

Orders are shipped via USPS, EMS, FedEx, or DHL, from the United States or our manufacturers / suppliers in Japan, depending on product availability. Please allow up to 5 business days for order processing before shipment on non-custom orders.

Shipping Responsibility & Insurance

While all shipments are insured, California Budogu is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments once they are in the possession of the carrier. The buyer assumes all responsibility for filing and resolving any claims with the shipping carrier.

Import Duties & Taxes

For orders shipped within the United States, we will make reasonable efforts to cover applicable import duties. California Budogu is NOT responsible for any import duties, taxes, or fees imposed on shipments to Canada or other international destinations.

Returns Policy

Please contact us at info@californiabudogu.com before returning any items. When reaching out, include the reason for your return so we can determine the most appropriate course of action.

Return Eligibility

  • Items may be returned within 7 days of receipt for an exchange or refund.

  • Returned items must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition, including all tags, packaging, and accessories.

  • Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

Sizing & Measurement Responsibility

  • If you provided correct measurements for a Bogu set or uniform and we shipped an incorrect size, California Budogu will cover the return shipping costs.

  • If incorrect measurements were provided by the customer, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be issued for the original purchase price paid, including sale items. In some cases, shipping fees are non-refundable and may be deducted. 

  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method unless otherwise specified.

Return Shipping Responsibility

  • Unless stated otherwise, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

  • Returned items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by California Budogu.

  • We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method to protect your return.

Defective or Incorrect Items

  • For defective items, we may request photographs clearly showing the defect(s) before approving a return or replacement.

  • If you receive an incorrect item, please contact us immediately at info@californiabudogu.com, and we will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Customized, personalized, or made-to-order items — including custom Bogu and items with embroidery or engraving — are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless the item is defective or an error was made on our part.
